In-depth look at RAMPAGE
If you want the best of the best, Rampage is for you. This high-performance board is one of the fastest electric longboards on the market! The dual direct-drive motors are guaranteed to give you that adrenaline rush you crave when they quickly accelerate to the board’s top speed of 52 km/h. If you’re looking for the fastest e-board, Rampage has you covered.
On top of the high-speed, Rampage is also a long-range electric longboard. The battery is massive! You’ll have no trouble banging out 50 km rides on this board! That’s the low-end number for this battery – we’ve had customers get up to 90 km on this electric board with an extensive range. The effiecient and quiet direct-drive motors produce little to no noise.
Rampage features 120mm Cloudwheels, with shock-absorbing technology to deliver a smooth ride on most terrains. We’ve ridden these wheels on streets, sidewalks, grass and gravel trails.
This electric longboard with a high weight capacity is perfect for big riders with a maximum weight capacity of 340lbs.
The deck measures 39.5″ in length, from end to end. It measures 10″ in width at its widest point – where the rider places their feet. The deck stands 4.5″ off the ground. From the beginning of the front wheel to the end of the back wheel measures approximately 42.5″ The wheel span on each truck – from the outside of each wheel – is approximately 13″. This board weighs approximately 27lbs

On my longest ride, which was mostly on flat terrain of smooth paths and cycle routes I managed 88km on one charge! I weigh roughly 220lbs and rode in speed mode one with a fair amount of coasting. To date I now have over 500km on the board and have become comfortable cruising in speed mode 2 with the occasional burst in speed mode 3. I now get on average the 50-70km range based on the faster riding speeds.
The board is responsive, but stable and fun; I only tightened the kingpins by 1/2 a turn each which has worked well for my weight. The charge time of the board is substantially longer than listed (8-10hrs from empty) but that doesn’t matter because after going till the remote buzzes at 10% remaining my feet are fairly tired so the charge time really isn’t a factor when also considering the range.
One of the more important lessons is remembering the basics of physics; the board is quoted as capable of 30% inclines etc based on rider weight. The lesson being that I failed to realize that the max incline for me is also the max declination! If it can’t climb it, you are going to have problems with not slowing down when riding down the hill, so remember your basic foot braking!
The cloud wheels are awesome, they handle most terrain, but be careful on gravel as the board can easily fishtail with rapid inputs on the remote. I mainly avoid gravel and bike trails with small pebbles due to the vibrations. After 10 minutes your feet get fairly tingly and you will regret getting odour choice of route. The wheels handle grass ok, but still not ideal; I plan on getting some adaptors and AT wheels at some point, but again you have to keep in mind how torque and brakes will be reduced with larger wheel diameters.
This board is a lot of fun and I am really glad I settled on the Rampage. I have not used the street wheels, and don’t really see the usefulness compared to the cloud wheels. One other small thing was I decided to change out the bearings after 100km to some basic Reds, made a huge difference in ride feel.
If you get this board it will provide a few smiles to say the least. Ryan was great and answered all my questions, highly recommended and great customer service.
